Some time ago I was looking for some free Zen Cart templates and I couldn't find any, so my question was immediatelly, well, aren't there any Zen Cart templates distributed for free? If not, why is that? I soon answered my own question since I started to get interested in such business.
Free Zen Cart templates are not easy to find
Indeed, there are not such things as free templates for Zen Cart shopign engine, and if you manage to find any they are not of such good quality. This is due to the fact that there are not that many designers willing to spend time to design suck ZenCart skins to give them away for free. As I have already said a few days ago, designing such a skin, theme, template, as you want to call it takes time, resources, skills and in the end money so you need to find those people willing to design without getting paied for it. Not that easy, in my opinion.
That is why, at some moment I considered these low cost Zen Cart templates instead of the free ones, at least this way, at a resonable volume of sales the designer can get his money, can get his work paid.So, if you consider that a custom theme for ecommerce may cost up to a couple of thousands dollars, such a low cost design may look like free for somebody searching for quality Zen Cart themes.
